Mealworms whether they are dried or soaked can be placed on your bird table if they are fed dry, they can be be fed from the bird table or a dried mealworm feeder.
Try feeding them from a window feeder as well because we get a lot of joy seeing robins and blue tits from our kitchen window just a few feet away!
A window feeder which is attached to windows by a couple of suction pads and filled with mealworms do especially attract robins and blue tits and you can watch them very closely as they peck away at the dried mealworms bobbing their heads up and down as they eat and during the breeding season fly off with a mouthful to feed their young, to quickly return for more, it's fascinating and very compelling viewing! Don't forget to soak them in water during nesting time otherwise the dried mealworms may get stuck in the young chick's throats.
To make dried mealworms even more attractive to Robins and blue tits for example,soak the dried mealworms in water as this adds valuable moisture to their diet.
